Exactly how would one swap out the old factory coil, to a new coil (i.e.)MSD, Accel...
The old coil has the piece that slides over the top it...

Factory Coil Swap...???
Well disconnect the battery negative, for safety.
Then remove the coil wire and the ground and positive wires from the coil. The factory piece slides off with the positive and negative wires attached.
Then remove the factory coil from its mount and install the new one.
Connect the negative wire, green/yellow stripe, to the new coil negative. This wire actually goes to the ignition module not directly to ground, useless trivia
Connect the coil positive wires, red/green stripe, to the new coil positive.
You may have to cut the ends off the wires and install new terminals depending on the type of connections on the new coil.
Then install the coil wire from the coil to the distributor. Hook up the battery negative and fire the "beast" up.
