Stopped by the store on the way home in my 94 F150 I6 tonight. Truck was running fine, when I came back out about 10 min later and tried to start the truck I hear a loud click and then it is dead. No power to anything except the small light under the hood.
Tried to jump start it but still dead, no power to anything even no headlights.
Try removing your battery cables and cleaning the posts and clamps for a good connection. Possible starter solenoid on the fender wall or fusible link at the starter solenoid.
Check the connections regardless....but, is there any juice at all? This sounds like 'sudden battery death'. Had this happen about 3 or 4 times--the battery melts inside & you can't even jump the car after that.
Anyways, check as per prior posts no matter what, but first see if there is anything left in the battery.

Any ideas on what is wrong?
Thanks

However this does not sound like the spade connector.
If you do not have any power to the dash/headlights and the battery is OK then we need to look at something else.
Get a test light and check for power at Fuse "P" in your under hood fuse box, this is a 50 Amp fuse. If Fuse "P" is OK on both sides then you may have a bad Ignition Switch or the plug that plugs into it.
If fuse "P" is dead on both sides then there may be a bad connection where the fuse links A & B in the above diagram are bolted onto the starter relay or A & B fuse links may be open. If they are open then you may have a short to ground between the fuse links A & B and the fuse box under the hood at fuse "P".

Ditto, I've had the spade connecter go bad on me, and it didn't affect lights, etc. Only the starter. I'd go with lv2race's first sentance as the first step, then subfords if the first doesn't fix it.
