The mounting ear on the C6 in my '94 F350 snapped off a couple years back when I was replacing the vac modulator. I was told "common issue", use JBWeld to put it back and motor on. I did so until Friday at 4pm when the flippin' thing let go and flew off the back of the tranny while running errands.
Several quarts of lost fluid, smoke and a AAA tow home and I find that I still have the modulator and the innermost of the two shafts that fit into it internally. The thin machined rod, clamp, bolt and broken ear are all on Rt6 somewhere...
Question: Is there a solution other than getting a new case for the tranny or welding the vac mod in place ( not a good idea I think!)
