Blend door - can it be disabled?
With the AC on, my overhead vents blow slightly cooler than room temp air, while the front dash vents blow cold, after doing some reading here it seems to be the ever-so-popular blend door problem. My question is, instead of fixing the problem, can I just fab something up to permanently block the heated side? Living in Cali im not worried about the heater, Im really only interested in the AC functioning.

Sounds like you are talking about the rear overhead air and the temp mix blend door in the back (?). If you are going to go to the trouble to get to it, you might as well spend the $25 and just fix the actuator right while you are there.
