Tranny Question....

I have a 2004 F-350 Lariat SDD DRW and every time i back out of a parking spot or anywhere and shift to drive there is about a 3 to 5 sec. delay before it catches the drive gear. I have serviced the Transmission at 60,000 and only have 93,000 now. Any one ever experience this before?

Thanks Mike

My 02 will do that when it's on an incline. I have plenty of fluid, but the pick up may not stay wet because of my deep trans pan.

My 03, 250 does the same thing. For about a year now. Changed fluid and filter, and still does it. Once engaged, no problems with slipping or anything though, and I do tow with it regularly.
Anybody else know why this happens?

It sounds like a sticking solenoid to me.
