hey. i have a 2008 crew cab. my buddy is giving me his black cab steps from his 2006 crewcab. does anyone know if these will fit?? i know there the same from 99-07, but 08 is a little different..

i would think they would fit. the trucks are the same length. about the only thing that i can think of that might be different is the location of the mounting holes. and a drill can fix that. i bought a set a while back that were $70 if i drilled my own holes and about twice that if they came with a custom mounting pad that bolted right in. you can MAKE anything fit if you want to, but whether it will bolt into the existing holes, i cant say for sure. if hes giving them to you for free, just hold one up to yours and see if they fit.

My 2006 steps had 3 brackets on them. My 2008 has 4 brackets. Both Crew cab short bed trucks. I still have my 06 steps but have not compared to see if they will bolt in to 3 of the 4 mounting locations under the 08. In other words I dont know if they just added a 4th bracket or if they changed the bracket spacing entirely to add the bracket.
Disclaimer - my truck is the HD version which has pretty bulky steps with lights in them. Maybe thats why I have 4 brackets? Maybe there are only 3 brackets for the other steps?
