Unhappy Fordson1

Hi everyone! I need some help. I have a 1994 F-350, 4 door, Dually, 7.3L, IDI, Turbo, 4.10 rear gears, and 4" exhaust, with 130,000 miles. Is there anyone that sells a bolt on, fresh air intake for this truck?
Also what should the Max tempature on the EGT Pryometer, read when pulling a 9000# fith wheel up some long grades and mountains. I increased the Injector about 1/8 turn, and only see blk. smoke when I first pull out, and floor it. It seems very sluggish towing up grades, but runs on the open flat roads fine. I pull 14# max boost at about 3000 RPM's. Thanks in advance for your help! GVF

For the cold air intake, I think the answer is no. Every one that I know of that has a ram air intake on these trucks made their own (myself included).

The highest safe EGT reading depends on the location of the sensor.

If its after the turbocharger, than its 900F.

If its before the turbo, its 1200F.

Do you have a factory equipped turbo or is it an aftermarket turbo kit?

Thanks for the come back! the pryrometer sensor is located about 3" before the turbo. The turbo is a stock rebuiltd unit. The exhust is stock at the turbo, for about 18" then goes to 3.5 for about 10", then to 4" to the rear bumper. I have new injectors installed Delphi #6760301 and compression was at 90% in all cylinders."The truck runs good empty, but pulling a fithwheel camper @9100# it seems to be sluggist on hills! I have started to get parts to build my own cold air intake. Thanks, GVF
