All the IDI injection pumps will work on any IDI engine.
Fuel delivery quanity is close on all of them.
Pop pressures changed a little, so it would be best if you use the correct injectors for the IP you run.
The only two IP's that are much different are the DB2-5069 and DB2-5070 that was used on the 93 and 94 IDI turbo engines with G injectors.
Fuel delivery is higher, and the timing curve is slightly different to take advantage of the turbo.
Yes, if you want to you can bolt a 7.3 turbo IP and turbo injectors right on a 1984 6.9.
But the result will be lower MPG and more black smoke since it is not getting the extra air from the turbo.
