I am new on the block. I have a 2004 F-350 crew cab with a 6.0 automatic. I have added the oversized exhaust, enclosed cold air intake and a Bullydog PMT programmer. I can't believe the differance in the power, but I am having coolant over heating problems, I think. The programmer has the defuel option on it and they set the defuel setting at 210 degrees. Is this correct. I'm not sure what the operating temp should be. I had Ford flush the system, intall all new hoses, new thermastat, new coolant, new EGR valve and new EGR cooler. Ford replaced the oil cooler about a year ago. When I hook my 34' fifth wheel on it, it reaches 210 degrees pretty quick and defuels.
I was towing our 20' Travel Trailer in 110 + Degree weather and on the flat parts of the highway my Coolant Temp was 210, Oil Temp 220-223 and Tranny was around 190. The fan came on when going up a hill with a coolant temp of 212 +, Oil temp around 230 and tranny around 200. The coolant temp never went above 218 and oil over 230. The engine will defuel (stock) when Coolant hits 227 and I think Oil Temp 254. Your settings are low, I have Isspro gauges which are pretty accurate. I don't know how accurate the Bullydog is for temps but you may want to increase the defuel temps a little. Did your engine fan come on before you defueld?
