commercial or passenger

i have a question for ma. fte's... i have an f350 with a gvw of 11400 lbs. that is for personal use only. does it have to be registerd/insured commercialy?

depends on your dmv.In il anything over 8001 lbs is considered a vehicle of the second division and requires semi anual inspection as well as insurance info filed with the state

In massachusetts only pick ups registered to a business needs to be commerical. I have seen plenty of DRW F350 used to tow fith wheel campers with passanger plates.

Varies state to state. AZ It would be commercial, PA its not, VA its not.

murph, when I bought my truck the dealership told me I had to register it comm., well they were wrong and had to refund my money, I also live in MA, my trucks gvw is 11,200, if your using it for personal use you'll be fine with pass. plates
