Interior door panels

Hi all. Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has been covered. I need to replace the interior door panels on my 97 350. Anyone know of a good aftermarket source? I've searched with no luck.

Thanks

JP

Yes I have. They're a great source. They only seem to go up to 1991.

Of course there is always ebay. You also may want to try Craigslist and post a wanted item. Also, try the search engine on Craigslist. Good luck.

Yes I did. Seems like there's a ton of the darker gray or blue colors out there. The opal gray is hard to find here. Anyone have any luck painting plastic panels? Or does it look fake?

I have had great luck using Krylon paint for plastic that I bought at the hardware store. They may have the color close to what you need.

1997 F350 with OPAL GREY Interior.

Note: When purchasing these panels used off ebay. These trucks also came with the Graphite interior, which can be mistaken for Opal Grey when pics are digital, and/or the panels are faded.

There are two different types of door trim panels. With or without power windows.

With power windows: F6TZ1523942GAD .. R/Door Trim Panel / F6TZ1523943GAD .. L/Door Trim Panel

Without power windows: F4TZ1523942AAY .. R/Door Trim Panel / F4TZ1523943AAY .. L/Door Trim Panel.

All four of these door trim panels are still available from Ford in the Opal Grey Color.

I'll let y'all find out what the MSRP and FTE member discount prices are. Type the part numbers into FTEpartsguy.com's website.

Even with a discount...they ain't cheap!

btw: Obsolete Ford parts seller greensalescompany.com (800-543-4959) has one new F6TZ1523942GAD right door trim panel. Their price might be cheaper than Ford's.

Mr ND:

These panels are still available?? Do these panels also include the padded arm rest? I thought that the padded arm rest was discontinued by Ford back in 2004-or so this is what my dealer told me. None of the aftermarket or reproduction companies make padded arm rest for 92-96 F series-for some reason. All stop at MY 1991 for some reason!!

The OP said he had a 1997, that's what the part numbers in the previous post are for.

You can type the part numbers into an FTE Ford dealer sponsor site like FTEpartsguy.com, the MSRP & FTE member discount prices come up...so...the panels are still available.

If the panels were obsolete, when the numbers are typed in, you'd get = No parts found.

As far as I can tell from the parts catalog pics, the armrests comes with the door panels.

btw: As a retired Ford partsman of over 35 yrs experience, I know the modus operandi of dealerships.

Some partsppl today do not want to bother, could care less...and just shine you on.

So don't believe everything you hear from these ppl about parts being obsolete.

Even if obsolete, there may be a chance of locating the parts at a dealer or obsolete parts vendor.

I search for these parts everyday here on FTE for members.

I just took a look see in the parts catalog, there are several armests still listed as available for 1991/95 F150's.

I need the exact year (your profile sez 1992 F150), color of your interior and the model (Lariat, Custom, etc). Then I'll look around and see what's available.
