Goodyear MTRs

37x12.50R15 how long do yall think they will last? 30K?
Ye old Boggers are getting chitty and I am (sorta) tired of being beat to death driving to my new trails. About 120 miles from home. The lincoln locker does not show any mercy on the soft compound of the Boggers on curvy mountain roads. I have lost 10/32 of depth in 1500 miles. I can get the MTRs for 250 a pop or 38x12.50 TSLs for 235. I figure the MTRs while not as agressive will have 2 times the life of some swampers. 38.5 Boggers have gone to 268 a piece now. Tires have followed the trend of gas. Sky high.

Mtr's are not cheap by anymeans either. I have them since I got a killer deal on them. Had 'em for about 5 years now but there are probably only about 15000 on them. I'd say that they'd last at least 30k on my truck, probably more like 40k+ by the looks of it. And I see alot of pavement.

I been doing some thinking since I posted. I am going to remove the 3" body lift and run some 35" wild countrys. 165 a pop. The 4.56s I am running should yank the snot out of 35s b/c it will roast the 38s. Better low range/cheaper/longer lasting/pull a heck of a lot harder/faster out of the hole/less driveline strain. Sooooo why not.

Only thing is I will not have the "Biggest" Ranger in my county.

why not get some a/t's ( how dare i say this ) to use as some road tires then swap on the boggers when you hit the trails. Will save you some money in the long run. and still let you maintain the reputation of biggest ranger in the county

I think with some carefull planning it can be done. Just stack them all up in there and strap them down. Im sure you could make it work, just get creative.

also i wouldn't be as worried about the boggers, as i would be about the road tires while wheeling.
