tuner or module

I am looking to get a little more mpg and some power out of my truck. No, I am not taking the lift out or tires. I just want an increase from where it is at now. I had a banks kit on my 05, loved it, just don't want that much. Also want to be able to remove it if I need some warranty work. I know how dealers around here are. If I had an Edge insight on the dash they would claim it was chipped and tell me warranty is void. If I had money to blow it sure would be fun to try that and tell them it is not chipped and see what bs they give me.

if you can i'd hold out and wait for spartan to come out with the Phalanx. it's supposed to be able to tune the FICM, PCM and TCM. you'd get the highest gains from this tuner over any other. not to mention it has true data logging capabilities. it is tentatively set for beta testing aug 30th.

Thanks for the input. I am not looking for huge gains just a little extra power and mileage. Thats what I have heard is SCT. Are they easy to put back to stock for warranty issues and not traceable. I have had the banks big hoss it was good but dealer didn't like it. They warrantied four injectors and said they wouldn't do it anymore. That was on the 05 I had.

You should post what you are currently getting and what your goals are. A "little more mpg's and some power" can mean different things to different folks. Hopefully folks w/ similar lifts can share their mpg numbers.

I know it is not "tuner related" but here is the standard "mpg stuff":

This helps in a lot of areas!</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt; mso-height-source: userset" height=20><TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; WIDTH: 629pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; HEIGHT: 15pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=839 height=20>#3 - tire pressure - maximize it to the safe maximum pressure. Maintain tires in good condition. Some tires may even be better at mpg than others.</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; WIDTH: 629pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=839 height=17>#4 - I got the most recent flash - I LOVE it! On the highway, this can help up to 0.5 mpg.</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt; mso-height-source: userset" height=17><TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; WIDTH: 629pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=839 height=17>#6 - fuel additives (MY OPINION HERE, some feel differently). The real reason for the exhaust mod is to lower EGT's.</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl24 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; WIDTH: 629pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=839 height=17>#6 - Zoodad - probably not much help, but easy (I have done it and saw no difference).</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
