Distributor Question

so i got a 289 i am getting ready to buildup and i have a DS2 dist its a 75 casting and i have the stock 289 dist. my question is how much different are the advance curves or are they different at all? if so is it possible to alter the 302 dist to match the 289 dist ignition curve

Depends on the springs/weights inside. They can be changed, so whatever cuve you need is theoretically possible.

Good question. Years ago I tried to find replacements for worn out advance springs in my points type distributor without luck. This was before the Internet though.
