I have been looking all over the internet at differnt bumps to get an idea of different paint jobs and stumbled over something I have to have.
I just need to know where to get it since I have never seen this before in my life. The part in question is the aluminum piece that is surroundin the ***** dash switches below the aluminum instrument bezel.
I really think this makes the interior pop and would love to have it on my bump, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I wonder if anyone makes these already though. I have aready thought of making my own, I would hate to go through all that trouble,I would imagine the key switch would be a huge pain.
The raised surround around the ignition would suggest that it's stamped. It looks too deep & precise for hand forming. It MAY have been part of a larger piece that they cut to fit and rolled the edges but my guess is it's stamped from a die. That means there's probably more out there.

Where did the pic come from?
Perhaps it's another dash that's been cut and plated? it would be easy to stack it up if it's the exact same stock.
Def. looks custom....I've seen alot of pics of these trucks, and that's the first time I've seen anything like that.
Can you take the wood grain ones and strip and polish them? I think I have a spare set of those.
I have a set of those with the woodgrain in my 70. Yes, I think you can strip them and polish them. I think just a contact paper or vinyl. They were factory with the Explorer or Lariat package? There also is a plastic woodgrain panel that continues over to the other side under the glove box. I am surprised some of you haven't seen these before. They also are on fleabay from time to time.

A good possibility. What years have that raised bezel around the igintion? My '68 is kinda flat. I surfed ebay for minute and a few 67s looked similar but who knows with all the mods they could have had over the years. Not that it would matter, I've just never noticed that the key bezels were different until this thread.
I just bought a '72 with these pieces on it. The wood grain will strip right off of them. It was part of the '70-'72 Ranger package I believe. That is the only place I have seen them.
i went back and took a close look at the one i pictured above and the area around the ignition switch is part of the sheet metal and is stamped out just like the one you pictured. The truck is a 71 f100 ranger. if you want me to try and take closer pics i can.
