Is there any truth in that trucks from north are rust proofed differently than trucks from the south?

I dont think trucks in the south are rustproofed.

I can tell ya that I just bought an 06 from a dealer in MI, it has a rustproof material on the frame

Thanks for the reply. I am looking to buy a used superduty and was looking at southern trucks thinking they were not exposed to salt. Sounds like that plan may backfire.
