Low Voltage When Starting
Hey guys I have quick question. When I leave my PSD sitting for a couple of days it will not start like the batteries are dead. I checked the batteries and they both show 12.2 VDC each. I did unhook the cables to isolate them. They are about two years old. When I turn the key on the volt guage goesdown to about the N in normal but then as the glow plugs are heating up the needle will fall all they way to the left. When I turn the key back off and check the voltage at the batteries (cables hooked up) it reads 12.0VDC. Would this indicate the batteries are bad? IF I put the charger on them it will start. Then it will start fine for about a day or two but if it sits for a couple days this happens. I'm thinking the batteries.

That is my next step as soon as my wife comes home with the other truck. I'm guessing the batteries are bad and the glow plugs are drawing more amperage than the batteries can provide. What do you think?
