In the market for Diff. covers.

Im in the market for a pair of MATCHING diff covers for my truck. I really dont care for polished aluminum as its too much up keep. Im leaning towards chrome, but am scared of a $25 cover, probably wont last a year. And might look cheesy, Im not set on chrome, but I insist that the front and rear covers match. Im looking for any input. Just some ideas. Cost is a factor, cant spend $200 bucks on each end. Thanks guys!

Scott

I think BD diesel has some and there is a look a like to the mag hi-tech (except for the vanes.) Also check out ProComp, I think theirs run about $125 a cover in polished and black aluminum.

Why the need for matching diff covers? The stock front axle cover is fine since you're never in 4x4 at high speeds to produce heat and a factory '08 cover fits the rear and is a low cost aluminum upgrade.

That's what I figured when I only bought a Mag hi-tech for the rear.

I'll just get the '08 cover for the rear when I change gears soon. Need to find time to install the 4.30s that are taking up space in the shop at home.

I want matching for looks. No other reason really, just my personal preferance. I really dont need them at all as my truck is a weekend leisure vehicle that rarely see's any actual use other then enjoying driving it fri or sat night to dinner or a cruise in etc. Just wanting them for appearance, thats it.
