Employee Discount

Ford obviously expected this, that's why they moved the '09 release back a few months. I want to say they had well over 100 days of stock left not too long ago.
But the question is how many trucks would they have sold without "employee pricing"? June and July are usually down months anyway.

I have to wonder if the release might also be held back for extra time to get some better tuning done on the engines for economy and/or power. Ford can't afford to have it come out of the starting gate with bad press.
Employee pricing I think is not directly related to the F150 because Ford is providing incentives for all the gas guzzlers, to get product moving.

The only real thing that will help move trucks will be lower gas prices. There are those who need and will allways buy trucks, but the days of the soccer mom's buying truck is over. At least ranger sales are up, it kept the ranger from getting the ax untill the new world ranger comes out in 2012.
