rendezvous oil change light

rendezvous oil change light
My dad's rendezvous is showing the symbol that the oil needs to be changed but it we know the oil is cleand and doesn't need to be changed (it was about 3000KM ago), both of us have tried to reset the light 3 or 4 times each but it won't reset. Does anybody know how to reset this stupid light? We've followed the instructions to the letter and it just wont work. Stupid GM products

Yea I know they are the General Maintnance Corporation. Nothin ever goes right at that company. My dad had an 05 envoy to reset the light you had to floor the accelerator 3 times while the vehicle was in the on position not start. Try this see if it goes out. If not try turning the ignition to the on position 3 times. For right now thats all I can think of. Let me know if you have any luck.
