Stupid long post...
Most of you know that I work two jobs most of the year. I have a "real" job in manufacturing, Monday-Friday 7-3ish normal type job. About 9 or 10 months of the year, I deliver pizza on the weekends...extra cash, and it's crazy easy.
Roughly two years ago, I was driving for a pizza place in Raytown, MO. The General Manager of which was robbing the place blind. Stealing cases of food, raw and prepared...stealing cash out of the till, EVERY bank deposit would come up missing money. Since this is the internet, we'll call the aforementioned general manager "John Doe."
As the corporate powers that be became aware of the situation in that location, they sent in audit teams...and eventually closed down the location and filed suit against Mr. Doe.
(and somehow, amazingly enough, NONE of the employees received our last paycheck...)
Mr. Doe fled the country to avoid this and other litigation.
(When several of the former employees contacted the corporate HQ regarding the missing paychecks, we were informed that our checks had been issued, AND CASHED.)
Currently, I am employed by another company. I'm still just a part time weekend driver. Our general manager is going on vacation, leaving us with two "shift runner" type managers. Not bad, but not great. So the powers that be decided to borrow a "salaried" assistant manager from another store to help us get through the weekend.
Guess who?
It was rather difficult not to beat the living snot out of the man on sight. I made sure that everyone in the store knows he's a theif, and all of us were very careful to keep him out of our cash last night.
Gonna be a loooooong weekend.
Sounds like you did the right thing letting everybody know about him.
For me it would be hard not to get a missing paycheck's worth of *** whippen in.............

I still have a phone number or two of the various persons whose paychecks came up missing...then cashed.
Perhaps we should all pay Mr. Doe a visit this evening...
The issue for me is that I HAVE too work this weekend. Otherwise, I could just blow off the job for the weekend. Right now, we need the cash.
According to the powers that be, he's been with this company for a few months with no problems. Apparently, no one checked his references.
is now working at pizza company B correct?
and this is the same guy that fled the country?
I would be calling pizza company A realllllll quick
then a few x employee's... or better yet I would have been asking to see my last check that was issued and cashed and take it to the police and ask them to get writting samples if all this failed take it out of his ****

I've spoken to one ex employee this morning. She's gonna call the local five 0 and find out if there are still warrants out for Mr. Doe.
If so, she'll tell them where he'll be tonight.
If not, she and at least one other ex employee will be joining me tonight.

He's in a different state, with a different company, roughly 50 miles from the location that he had to leave. What are the odds that one of the half a dozen or so employees he screwed would be in the current location?
I'll keep y'all posted.
On Saturday morning, however, he did.
He was to open the store and work until 7ish.
I left the store on a delivery at about 3:30, and noticed a former employee or two in the parking lot.
When I got back to the store, Mr. Doe was gone. I've not seen or heard from him since.
Your guess is as good as mine.
