not to bad, i had never heard of cabela before, i guess we dont got them around here, but i do like the gun case thats a good idea that Ford could just make an option for all trucks.....
Brady-My Jeep is a 94 Wrangler with many up grades. I don't own a Bronco all though I would like to get my hands on an early version with out breaking the bank, but probably not as I have too much invested in the Jeep.
Bill-I have learned about most of the Trails up in Big Bear from fellow club members of Tierra Del Sol which I've been a member for 20+ years. There is a book put out by Deer Valley Press which has all the trails in the San Bernardino Mountains. Including Maps and degree of difficuly etc.

Cabela's is the place for outdoorsmen. I don't know if you've visited the new Bass Pro Shops in Fontana, but it's a similar place. I think Bass Pro Shops is a little more fishing and clothing, while Cabela's is more hunting, but their business model is pretty close to the same.
I've been to the Cabela's in Syndey NE, and you could fit about 4 of the Fontana BPS in there. That's there headquarters store. And I've been to the one in UT too, which is smaller.
I think it's cool how Ford can partner with names like Harley, Cabelas, King Ranch. You don't see that from GM or Cry's-ler.
We got a parking citation in the mail yesterday, from the city of Oakland. Says the parking meter expired. They have the correct license plate number, and the correct VIN number. I suspect they got the VIN from DMV records.
Okay, I have never been to the cesspool called Oakland. Pretty sure the wife not did go on a work day either. It's her car.
Citation dated May 25.
Contesting a citation is limited to 21 days after the date of citation.
Citation was mailed, per the date on the front, July 25, which sounds about right for us to get it on July 31.
Citation says it is a "Merc 4dr White". Our SUV is a Ford, Gray. Yes it has four doors, but I think "4dr" means sedan. Not sure.
I could just pay the $35. Not paying doubles and then triples the fee as they most helpfully printed right on the citation. But that ain't my style just on general principles.
So I'm mailing a copy of the citation along with the DMV record showing it's not a Mercury, certified mail.
i would call them too and tell them that you dont live anywhere near there and have never been there and that the car is the wrong kind of car and they might say oh just pay it but try to get up the chain of comand and i am sure you can get it taken off....
i even got a ticket for a car that we sold about 6 months before, the new owner never registered it, so we call up and get it taken care of, dont remember how hard it was but we did do it...
What do they do up there, pull names from a barrel, then tack them up and toss darts, the lucky winners being recipients of bogus tickets?
Makes you wonder doesn't it? I don't trust them sonzabeeches in Oakland. They could pick vehicles at random from non-locals and send them citations with little chance that you would show up to fight it. I don't want to pay it, but I'm not going to drive to Oakland to fight it.

It's a computer postcard, not the officers original. They may not even write them manually any more. I hope it's hand written because they might be able to see an error.

They don't take phone calls. It has to be written. All I can get on the phone is recorded messages. I just sent what I had by certified letter, so we'll see what happens.
