I'm trying to find a pre-fabbed center crossmember. I keep seeing them on all the new pre-fabbed frames. Currently - the one under my cab is bend and I wanted to replace it with an X one or something. Any ideas?
cant say as i seen anything in any ads , but if you got any kind of welding skills hades try it yourself . dont know till you do . what can it hurt ???? maybe scrounge the boneyards too ... never know what you might find in one ..............
I'm not sure if this is something that you are looking but you, this is for a 63 -72 Chev c10 classic perforance parts sells. it will fit between the frame rails because thier the same width. this is a sturdier cross member to the original and designed for a lowered truck but very similar to the original that you could pick up at a wrecking yard, hope this of some help.

Hi Dave,
If you can come up with a sketch or drawing of what you need I can make it for you. A sketch is OK so long as you have all the dimensions on it and the thickness of materials used. You just need to be accurate with your measurements. CLICK HERE for more info.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll try the CPP crossmember.
I have seen that rear suspension used on a 53 f100. the cross member is used with trailing arms similar to a 4 link, on the Ford they just used coilover springs. I did see this set up on an episode of Trucks when they went to pick up the frame for thier give away 37 Downs body pickup.
