soo my mechinic said he could put a exhaust on my truck dual 3in from down pipe back i would think?? would that be any good?? or do i just buy a 4in exhaust kit with downpipe?? i guess what im asking is would it make any differnce dual 3in pipe or 4in exhaust ??? i would guess both would lower egt because technically it would be 6 inches of exhaust right?? i dont know lol some opinions would be cool
hes just a friend of my dad he does works for my dad and he also has his own garage ... he just put it on his tow truck 94 chevy 6.5 lol i just figured if i could save a few $$$ to have him do it instead of buying a exhaust system i guess i still prolly just buy a exhaust system i was just curious what people think???
Doing a dual from the turbo back would be a real pain, my guess is he'll run a single pipe back a ways then split it like the other dual kits. If you want duals, order the MBRP kit or see if your guy can fab up some 4" duals.
Our stock pipe is 3.5 inch. Go with a 4" turbo back. I have the MBRP SS, turbo back. Don't go down, go up with the pipes. You will like the looks of the 4" rather than the 3".

I would go with the kit myself. 4" Turbo back would be ticket. It's already custom bent to the frame of the truck. I had an outrageous quote from a exhaust shop to fab one up so I went with the kit and installed it myself.
Here's the math.
3" exhaust yeilds 7.065 square inches of exhaust area within the pipe.
3.5" yields 9.61
4" yields 12.56
Go with the 4" downpipe and 4" exhaust.
