Get rid of the stock air box. It unbolts with 4 bolts, so if/when you decide to sell you can put it back in easily. The stock air box is horrible at sealing and will let dust into your turbo and motor... a new turbo can run $500+. The 6637 is the affordable, easy way to get good clean air to your motor. Look at my photo... you don't want that to be your truck!

I think there was a recall on some of the stock filter boxes from ford for the dusting problem. Ford does make a better filter setup, I think its called the AIS?? I never really looked into it though and dont know much about it, but it from ford. I just went with 6637 filter. You'll really hear your turbo after installing the 6637!! Somebody will correct me on this AIS filter if I'm wrong.

AIS is right Lee. They run around $220 and up, offer filtration that is second to none but suffer some in flow compared to a 6637 or aftermarket intake. It will have a nice factory look though, so it might be worth considering for the OP. Plus, you don't get that *^%$$&( drone in the cab you get with the 6637.

Thanks Chase. I figured I'd throw that out there since he said he was looking to stay factory.

Thanks Fellas, will check out the AIS, it sounds like what I am looking for.
I was a bit worried about the intake noise you mentioned, I like to keep everything quiet as possible in the cab, as everytime I go somewhere its a minimum 5 hour drive.

I have run both the 6637 and the AIS.
The 6637 is noisier than the AIS.
The 6637 breathes a lot better than the AIS and offers just as good air filtering as the AIS.
But I like the AIS a lot better because of the quiet.
Here is some information to help you make a more informed decision.
