I just bought a new(to me) '98 F-150 Flareside. Whenever its running the headlights are on; my 2002 doesn't do that. What can I do to only have the headlights on when I want them on--when it's dark out!! Thanks. Sylvanus

It is a Canadian truck thing, there is a relay or resistor (can"t remember which) just behind the drivers side headlight. It is right at the front of the wheel well of my 01. If you have fog lights in the the lower valance you can follow the wires back where they enter the wheel well. There should be a split right there with one side going to the fogs and the other going to the relay/resistor. It has two wires going into it, just unplug it and everything will work as usuall but only when you switch the lights on. If you want to reverse it just plug them back in.
