I recently washed my motor and undercarraige now my abs light comes on and the speedo doesen't work..without the speedo it doesn't shift when it should...any ideas? thx

 

There is a speed sensor in the rearend somewhere. It is used for the ABS and the Speedo. I would check there first.

You never said what vehicle this is.

Some speedo's are electric and are on the dome light circuit fuse.

Check your ABS fuse.
