Is this the show that is right there off the freeway (I65)? I remember being back there a few years ago and driving up to Cincinnati from Nashville and seeing about a gazillion rods assembled off the west side of the freeway, I believe that it was close to a Univ of Louisville Cardinals stadium. Looked like a massive event, and you're right...hot and muggy this time of year.
CharlieLed yep that is what you saw. I bumped this old thread rather than start a new one. The new cutoff year, 1980, should make for an interesting show. In Years past my interest was just with the vendors inside. It is way to many vehicles to even start to look at for these 40 plus year old legs
I'm going down Saturday morn early in the Beastt so if I find anything interesting I can tow it home, seriously we will be looking for parts and I can get them home without scratching up the bed in Homade. We usually park when you come in the gate follow the road to the right like your going to go around the buildings and on the left in the first section of grass you will see big signs on the light poles we should be under #6 but don't know about this year with the new crowd but thats where we should be, Garry
Garry hopefully I will see you up there. As my plans finalize later in the week I will pm you my cell. Maybe we can meet at the Dennis Carpenter booth and shoot the breeze for a quick moment in the breeze that is the Air Conditioned Vendor Hall
I have some friends driving down from Kansas City but I don't a car or truck old enough to enter ('48 or earlier) so I'm still at home.
Larry, I think that the Nationals in now the "Nationals plus" and they are admitting later than 49s, check it out. There's been a lot of protest about it going so far as the t-shirts "NSRA-Not Street Rodders Anymore"
