ohh and whats the best thing to do witht his engine? buy an mustang harnas or explorer harnas and with ECU.. and buy the intake plenum and trottle body and injectors and run it fuel injection? or make it carbed? and i only wanna do a cam swap .. wich cam will run best with this engine i was thinking this cam but it has to be MAF or carbed

How much they askin?

The motor alone is worth some coin, and all it really needs is 1.7 rockers, the stock cam is pretty good for a truck application.

I't would already be in my garage.. if I were the one stumbling across that and the price was reasonable.

The mustang harness won't fit a truck well at all, you'll have to disassemble it and re-arrange everythign so the computer can go in the truck location on the drivers side. But if you use a truck harness you'll have to repin a bunch of stuff and remove everything else you don't need.. like tranny controls. There's no free lunch, but this is the way to go IMO, buy some serviced injectors and a truck fuel rail off ebay or from a scrap yard, get the Stang ECU and MAF meter, and you're well on your way.

Are those the regular GT40 heads, or are they the -P heads? I agree with Paul, having a mustang harness on-hand for a MAF conversion is the way to go. I modified the truck harness, sourcing the missing pieces from the mustang harness. I consolidated the mustang injector harness from the two 10-pin plugs down to a single 10-pin and just grafted the wiring from injectors to computer into the truck harness.

I thought those looked like the standard plug angles.

I did the conversion on my 87 and the wiring is a lot different than your 92. You'll have to be picky about the truck wiring harness you find because I'm thinking that the harnesses changed in 92 and there were several variations between 92 and 95. Since your 92 is a stick shift, that makes it slightly easier since you may be able to use an automatic harness and take out the transmission wiring. That's about all I know, though, so you'll have to research on your own.

That ebay link looks like it has just about everything you need to get the explorer motor where it will run in the truck and the price isn't too bad at this point either. You may need to find a truck fuel rail because the location of the fuel line disconnects are in different places on the mustang fuel rail.

I thought it had a 4 speed. was wondering how a 80's tranny got into 92+ truck. and I'm pretty sure all the 300's came with a header. got pics

sorry man, that mazda 5 speed is a POS. the F-250 5 speed is more desireable. you tried posting it on Craiglist yet? as long as the 1-2 and 2-3 synchro's are decent, you might $200 for the tranny. problem is those synchros destruct fairly quickly if you use the truck as a truck
