Distributor cap/rotor

I have a 93 F-150 with 4.9L six and 55,800 miles on it.Does it need a distributor cap and/or rotor at this mileage? I did change the plugs and wires 2 or 3 years ago but thats all.Are they difficult to replace?

I would replace them. I usally replace cap, rotor, and the wires when I change plugs. You can check you wires with an OHM meter to see what kind of resistance you have. The higher the resitance the worse the wire condition. Caps and rotors are fairly inexpensive and easy to change. Try to get a cap with brass contacts.(personal preference)
Hope this helps
