Awesome thanks guys.. I really wish I bought that steve christ book months ago so I could have a good heads up now.
My book was pretty good in detailing problems in FE's oiling problems but not as good as Steves book sounds like. When I went to do all my oil mods everything was already done for me I noticed which was cool. It even had some initials of some engine builder on the block which one of the machinists new of and said he was a good builder. block needed no work it had a 30 over bore with forged pistons and it checked out ok. Camshaft was an Isky and it was garbage and spun a lobe and lifter so my machinist said with the hardened material in the oil its best to just rebuild...good enough excuse for me cuz I was itchin do it.
