i just talked to my brother. he started on a new job this week at Kentuckiana's Premier Truck Truck Center, a dealership for new and used Mack, Volvo, and Hino trucks. he is starting out as the night shift foreman, over 11 mechanics. sounds like a pretty big dealership. they run 15 day shift mechanics. just today the dayshift (hes on days for training) had 17 trucks in and out, all fairly bg jobs, even had a head off one. he said they are the #1 rated dealership in the nation for customer care. the salary is pretty amazing too. he is starting at i believe $52,000ish a year, after taxes, and a $1500/month bonus when the shops productivity is up to par.
