Fried wires
Somehow the pigtail that goes into the distributor was touching the engine and melted/shorted out. I spliced one wire that was burnt in half and made it home. Now can this pigtail with the connection be removed and replaced? Looking at it is possible but is it available? When I get ahold of the idiot that owned this truck before i'm going to ...... make him

Are you talking about the wires with the snap closure connectors.
Yes,They make a distributor rebuild kit that changes everything electrical.
They come in a blister pack for about $12.00
