i have a 68 swb f100 and i have done some research on vinyl tonneau covers. the only one i have found is from LMC and honestly i have seen newer covers for way less than what they are asking. does anyone have any knowledge on where to get one that is not in the $400 neighborhood?
i did a search and didnt find anything so i apologize if this has already been covered.
FWIW....my '67 long bed takes the same cover as a '96 F100(whatever years that covers?) Got it at my local cap dealer for $199(Berlin tarp), really nice piece.
Do you have a local cap store? They will have the measurements for bedsizes, that's how I got mine. ALOT cheaper then what they call for in LMC.
I agree I would measure and get to researching. I will be making a custom aluminum bed cover that sits level with the top edge of the bed sides. I will make a light frame of 1" auminum square tubing then weldin smooth aluminum to it then lightly brushing the whole thing for a brushed aluminum look. I will also use the small hydraulic cylinders from a vans rear door to raise the bed cover when I need to fill up with fuel since my fuel fill is in the bed. I am just not a fan of the soft bed covers, every truck I have been in with them tends to be noisy from all the flapping around after they have stretched a little.
