The old truck is fine, except for lousy gas mileage. I did have to replace one cop, but you warned me that I bought cheapos, and I had saved the others.

Another great mechanic is Chopper Lee out of Millville Hes right outside of NJMP and is a real nice guy..Everyone I know who has a diesel goes to Chopper.

I thought I'd throw my name out there. I run a small truck equipment, accessory, performance, service, and installation business in Wall, NJ. I am also a full time Army officer and 2006 USMA grad. I've been in business about 8 months and have been around the truck business for 11 years. My brother is a full time diesel tech in South Plainfield and helps me out part time, but otherwise its just me; owner operated. We're slowly building a customer base as I plan on leaving active duty next year. We do it all from diesel performance to commercial up fitting of trucks and vans, and everything in between. If you need it for a light or medium duty truck, we carry it, and or/ install it. We also do service work and diagnostics. If there is anything we can do to help anyone on here, please don't be a stranger. I like to think we're reasonably priced, do quality work, and of course usually discount work a little for acquaintances from the forums!

Hey joe, I am in need of a head gasket done on my 6.0.....would you recommend them. Has there work been good for you so far?


Any other recommendations in south jersey / central jersey / Philadelphia area? I don't mind taking the truck a little further for good workmanship that will last. I hate hearing stories of people getting there HGs replaced then only needing them done again in 20k.

 

Matt, If your still looking, check their website. Rich and Ray specialize in repairs to the 6.oL powerstroke. Pricing is right on the website.. If I had a 6.0, I'd give him the business of bullet proofing it!
