Headlight switch load
Another F100 streetrod wiring question. I am using a modern GM headlight switch. Is there any need to utilize a relay for my headlight circuit? I have heard it discussed on these forums way back. I intend to use halogen bulbs and maybe an extra coutesy light or two, but nothing really out of the ordinary or high draw. My Haywire harness uses 16 guage wire for both the high and low beam. I have a habit of over engineering things and don't want to add any more noodles to this under dash "spaghetti dinner" for no good reason. 
The Haywire kit appears to be high quality so maybe they know what they are doing with the 16 guage. I think I need an electrical equation from Sparky to resolve my concern.

I just found the FTE tech article. If I need to make the mod, I believe it would be easily converted to the Haywire GM style harness. Ford must have corrected the problem, my 95 F150 headlights will melt paint off of oncoming cars.
