Help, Replacing front rear shackle/Hanger

I am currently in the midst of replacing my front rear shackle/hanger. I got the old one out and I can't get the new one in. Any ideas??? I lifted the frame in the front and the front wheel is off the ground still not enouigh room for the new longer shackle.
