What is your overall goal for the truck? Might be able to help with determining what matchup to what you should do in order to meet those goals.

Where do you work, and are they hiring?
I wish I had that kind of cash laying around........Dang.
Good for you.

My $.02 would be:
do the head studs first, and basically at the same time do the gauges.
I didn't notice anything about a tuner?????
That would be the most bang for the buck.

He mentioned SCT already. He is going to have to do a tuner if he is thinking a different turbo and injectors especially, as his truck will run like crap without proper tuning.

Oh I forgot to let you know something....the 08 bumper should fit.
My buddy just put an 08 rear bumper on a 2000 Excursion, and it looks good.

I'd stay away from the F550 springs an axle. The springs will make it ride like crap and I'm pretty sure it won't all bolt up due to frame width differences, but they may have changed that in later years. Also, the Sterling 10.5 is a pretty strong axle, I double you'll have problems with it.

as far as the springs, just get ya some ride rites, 5K bags, w/ the pump, 10 psi to 100 psi at the push of a button, and your ride is not sacrificed, dana 135 would work.
itp diesel regulated fuel system
itp liberator egr delete
AFE stage II
a FASS fuel system will do the pumpn.
contact Jody Tipton w/ DP Tuner for custom tunes on his SCT. (out of the box tunes are junk)
I would ask Dennis at ITP what injectors work best. (dynomite stage 1s)
turbonetics T-58 stage 1
spearco IC
BTS 5R100 tranny

along with the studs, and what nots your looking at some real nice numbers.

you may want to look and wideopenperformance also.

as far as the regulated fuel system FASS I agree for the turbo i'm not sure how big i wanna go but it'll either be Garret like the stock or Turbonetics my opinion they're the best spearco all the way for intercooler system as far as tuning on the SCT i will go custom not sure who yet though this guy you mentioned is he good i've been originally lookin into Matt cause of all the praise..... i apreciate the input man pretty good lookin advice

You have to remember bigtorque is a 7.3 man and Jody has about the same following with the 7.3 crowd as Matt does for the 6.0 crowd. As far as turbo and injector combo that depends on what your going to use your truck for to determine how big you can go.

Matt is great to deal with when you can get him on the phone, and he is tops for the 6.0 tunes. I just wish he was better at returning phone calls... he's about as hard to get a return phone call from as anyone I've ever dealt with! It usually takes a week or more and that's with a phone message or two left each day; so my point is, as long as you're patient, he's definitely the right guy for the job as far as quality of tunes and experience goes.

thanx tex aas far as what i'm using it for i do alot of heavy pullin (4x4 tractor, front end wheel loader, and some lumber when we don't have enough to fire up the freightliner) but a fair amount of unloaded driving also and i like to have a toy sometimes lol

Stage II injectors and a 65 mm turbo is the highest I would go when your hauling pretty heavy(which "sounds" like you are). If you want to go higher injectors then your going to have to go twin turbo setup for pulling otherwise it won't have street manners to pull. I will say this, I love the combination I have. Good for a little over 500 hp 988 ft/lbs, lots of fun, even a little better then expected low end grunt and I will say this peak torque seems to be still pretty close to the 2k rpm(which explains why I have averaged 2 mpg better then before all the mods, hand calculated too), now I do have FICM tuning as well so that plays a part into that as well. You'll want to get the biggest FASS that you can get(at the time I got mine it was 150/180 I believe it has gone up) and ITP RR kit, FASS isn't good enough to do it alone and the fuel pump won't be able to handle the bigger injectors(mine crapped out after 2 months, luckily I had a fuel psi gauge in the cab(another purchase to get as the one that comes with the rr kit goes under the hood, not good for driving purposes and checking fuel pressure).

Well personally tex i like yer info and by looking at yer set-up it is very similar to what i might be leaning towards with a few minor changes but overall looks like you have a very NICE set-up and putting out great numbers so i appreciate you takin the time to put in.... that goes for everyone else also i'll keep everyone informed
