Custom VIN plates...
It's actually on page 30
a New altered VIN is quite illegal...
Now if we are talking the warranty tag from 62 on ward its all fair game as they clearly state "Not for title or registration puropses"

just makes it that much easier to steal our trucks... all they have to do is call them up and order a second plate once you already have a title to one... and yea sure the plates wont match and what not with the title, but it will look "decent" enough to pass a quick look....
and then you just need an ignition switch, wich i belive are the same up to the 70's some time in the trucks...

Ignition switches:
1961/67 F100/1100: C3AZ-11572-A (Motorcraft SW353) or C7UZ-11572-A (Motorcraft SW583). C7UZ has one extra terminal.
1968/69 & 1970 F100/750's before serial number G90,001: D1AZ-11572-C (Motorcraft SW1054) = Replacement switch for C8AZ-11572-A which shorted out and fried the wiring.
Ford replaced the faulty switch with this newer replacement. It also comes with a pigtailed wire plug. **
1970 F100/750's after serial number G90,001 & 1971/72's: DOTZ-11572-A (Motorcraft SW944).
** This replacement switch was also used on all the 1968/69 and some 1970 passenger cars, which originally used the same faulty ignition switch (C8AZ-11572-A).

by the way, it would have been sufficient to simply say something like "ohh no, thats not true they changed them in such and such year..." no one asked for a long reply about parts numbers, i had just sudjested that it was AROUND the 70s by saying that i THINK...

Do you read all the threads in the 1961/66 & 1967/72 forums?
See what I put in the title? 1961/72 ignition switches.
If someone does a search for ignition switches, that'll come up.
Don't you think ppl will find that list helpful?
100's of ppl read these threads, and this gave me the opportunity to list all the switches and the numbers.

...is it Sunday already??....
Autokrafters gets them from a sub vendor, you are paying a middle man Just like LMC truck or JC Witney. as for ignition switches it is fair game after fourty years what may or may not be installed in a truck..
I have parted at least two trucks with just wires stickin out the hole.... touch and go....
The persons that make these new tags are a little honest and do require some documentation. All that is required is the VIN, all the accessories can be jumbled into what ever you want with a new plate due to not having anything such as number matching.
A company called back east is about the most honest and best etcher and stamper. The also carry the correct ford rivit.
