For any FTE friends that wish to attend the third national (held every two years) show for 61 to 66 F series trucks better known as the "Slick60's" here is some information.
Slick-Stock
(The group shot on the front page is from SS06 in York PA.)
This is the base site that gives all the information. You do not need to be a member of slicks to show up, and we appreciate any support from FTE members. We are all one big family.
I hope to meet many FTE friends there if any one can make it, or is in the area, as i will be covering this event for Custom Classic Trucks, so bring your rat ride or your show ride or even no ride at all.
Show meet and greet is August 13th with events, cruises, drag racing and general Bull ****ting allowed.....
What's a couple of Thousand miles between friends count on us we will be there. I would love to bring the Truck and see what she can do on the Dragstrip. But I think it has to run to Race it. LOL

GAS is whats inbetween me and alot of people LOL
you can push her down the strip... or pull her, maybe hook a chain up to one of the 7 or 8 second 1/4 mile people and see if you could atleast get a 11 or a 12 out of it HAHAAHAHAH

Yep - Gas prices are prohibiting this trip for me.
I keep the truck at our cabin near Superior, WI, so it'd be about 650 miles one way, so it'd be about $400 in gas alone, assuming the truck would make it (it probably would - since I did a bunch of engine work, it hasn't even used a drop of oil). There's other stuff I need that money for.
I added up the cost and was not able to come up with enough $. Even a second on the house . Those of us closer to the "other coast" are planning a meet and greet in Lincoln City on August 9th. If it works out I am going to try and get a group picture and send it to Slick Stock so we can be ther in spirit (picture) if nothing else. Regardless I hope Slickstock 2008 is the best yet for all those who can make it.
