got a friend with a 94.5 f-superduty, powerstroke 2wd 5 speed. it will be a cab and chassis if i get it its in rough shape but runs and technicly drives. i'll leave the description at that.
my question is will this tranny work on my truck? i dont think it will since it has the park brake drum on the tranny. i think output shafts are different. has anyone encountered this?
i am debating gettin it for the spare motor to stick in the corner and tinker with in spare time. the cab is in decent shape but the interior is bad and the frame is fairly rusty. but for the price i cant go wrong with a runnign powerstroke.

We were debating that very thing when we pulled an F-superduty down a couple of years ago. To me it looks like the brake and housing is very very close to the output shaft housing on a 4x4 tranny. I think a transfer case would bolt up with the brake removed, but we didn't get around to trying it, so I don't know.
yea c00n if the price is right, why not? like you said another motor to tinker with in your spare time, and with your knowledge and skills i'd probably snag it.
