Lights won't go out

The interior and bed lights on my 1999 Ford f-250, 7.3 diesel won't shut off even after a long period of time. I have to disconnect the batteries to shut them off. The plate on the door jamb that has the cut off plastic lever has some rivets or some sort of fasteners that I don't know how to remove. I suppose there is a switch malfunction on the interior of the jamb if I just knew how to get inside.

Is the door ajar light on all the time as well? It may just be a sticky door switch, shoot some wd40 in there open and close the door a few times. This sometimes will free up the switch.

Thank you for the reply. The dimmer switch was turned all the way up causing the lights to stay on all the time. Stupid of me but true.

Thank you
