Hi gang, I've been getting blown tailight fuse latley. I did add a 3 light section under the tailgate where the dually's have the lights and thought that may be the problem. So i rewired and put a better ground on it, and was fine till the next day and blew. So I remembered the camper dealer put a plug on my taillight wire to the camper top si it works the 3rd brake light. It's spliced into the tailights also for a utility light at night in the bed of the truck. The cap is off getting the window gaskets fixed, so i noticed the plug has a bare metal male end with 2 female inserts. That was tucked behind the bedliner possibly rubbing the bed of the truck on turns or bump. i taped it up for now and seems ok, do you think that was the culprit of the blown fuses? Sorry so long of a post, Thanks.

Thanks Art, but the camper had to be sent back to the manufacturer for repairs to the window gaskets. The cap has the third brake light, but it's taped in to the tailights for a night light inside the cap. The dealer of the caps put this plug on so it's easier when it comes back from repairs that's all. Before it was crimped into the tailights, now it has it's own plug. All is ok so far since i taped it up, just wondered if that would short the tailights out, thanks.
