Transfer Case Linkage
Hey all.
I have a 74' F250 with a 73' 460 in it and a C6 I believe it to be (17 bolt pattern auto) and a np205 I hope. I searched for hours on the t-case and on-line to figure it out and I think it is a 205 but the numbers I was able to find are as follows. Towards the rear C-11865, there is what looks like a 'w' underneath and a d in a diamond and also a gear but unsure as it is worn.
Towards the front C-11871 with a 'u' underneath it and the gear with np in it. It is divorced.
My problem with it is it grinds alot and pops into neutral but easily goes back into gear which I hope now is 2hi unsure because it does not have a **** and all I can do is move it a little up and a little down and once in a while it will move down left down? Thats with the linkage unhooked. But back to my problem, does it sound like to you my t-case is in need of repair or just bad linkage? And if anyone knows the pattern I'd appreciate it.
One more request, where do I find what type of axles I have?
