Help needed quick please-tranny
i need some help for a friend- what do these codes mean?? my friends new truck (99 powerstroke crew cab auto) has some probs. it starts hard (i think IDM) and it dont wanna shift at times. truck has had a junk yard tranny, so i dont know if it might be conflicting with his computer???
CODES-
P1316 Injector circuit/IDM Code detected
P0733 Gear 3 ratio error
P0783 3-4 Shift error
P0782 2-3 shift error.
any help appreciated.

po733 sets when the selected gear is slipping, thats bad....
the shift error codes could be valve body, accumulator body, shift solonoids or clutch packs.
the 733 will most likely condem the trans though as 99% of the time that means its time to pull it out.
the 1316 could be anything, tupicly you get other codes along with that one but normaly its uvc wiring if its set alone. but not always

Time to get it in the shop and get it gone through. Now would be the time to upgrade the valvebody, convertor and clutch packs with a performance rebuild kit of some kind. This will help the tranny live longer and happier down the road. Best of luck!
