ummm... you COULD (but i wouldnt) wire a switch into the IDM...
It would kill it, that's for sure. but codes and possibly other issues might come about.

Thats the thing I was thinkin more electrical or air shut off somethin along those lines. They said to pull modified you gotta have a kill switch and two hook points so the truck is secured to the sled.

Well, if you cut off the IDM's power supply, that's electrical and fast, but i dont know if it would cause problems.

Yea well I have to pull in the mod class cause of my stacks. They said it doesn't matter if I put my air box back on that with the stacks its modified so I gotta play with the big dogs now with their rules

I did a few searches for cut off switches, and most people are cutting the power to their fuel pump. i havent found pics or descriptions yet

I would kill the power to the PCM relay. As far as the computer is concerned, it's the same as turning the key off.

The best way would be to put in a switch that kills the power to the IDM relay.

It also works as a good theft deterrent.

OBS trucks have a mechanical pump.

Even with an electric fuel system the engine will still run for to long for it to be used as a kill switch.

Looks like IDM or PCM relay are the options.

Not quite the same:

Its the same as disconnecting the batteries. It resets the PCM and clears all the saved codes and then sets an 0603 code

why not wire into the ignition switch and treat the cut off switch as a key?
