6.0 tech's

Does every Ford dealership have one? Down in Florida I asked the service manager if they have a 6.0 tech, and he replied "Oh yaya, Big John's been working on diesels for a long time. He does just about all of my diesel work." So I'm standing there still wondering if this guy is just learning on the fly, or is he a 6.0 tech? I didn't ask if he's certified? Should I have? I did have to return my truck back to this Florida dealership for corrections, twice. Is it appropriate to ask this question?

all dealers have to have a certified diesel tech if they sell the trucks. now, a good tech and certified tech are 2 different things. i was diesel certified when i came out of college in 01 but i never touched one for 2 years. now its all i do, day in day out.
