Another interior question?
Hi guys do you think the chrome plates beneath the seat where home made or purchased. I am after some of these. I guess I am going with the tuck and roll look for the 53, just planning on the colour combo now. Thanks everyone for their input again. Cheers Paul

The above "scuff plates" (aka door threshold plates) are not genuine Ford.
These look exactly like the type used on (don't laugh) 1956/64 Studebaker Hawks.
These have been reproduced (you'll need to cut them down). Try: studebakerparts.com.
Home supply stores carry something similar, as they are used in bathroom applications usually around the shower area.

I like the look of those, but would prefer slimmer strips. I went to Home Depot and bought aluminum strips which are used for household carpets. They have a tapered edge to them. I buffed them out, drilled holes and they look nice. Cost me about $2.50 for both sides.
