Another question on the F/F... Why the tight change schedule?.... My truck ran fine with no water light, etc.... even after the, uh, extended schedule
Because 100 fuel filters is cheaper than 1 injector.... okay, that's an exaggeration, but @ ~$200 for one injector, and ~$20 for one filter, and the one filter covers all 8 injectors.... you see where I'm going with this... plus, you don't want the restriction in there, do ya? that *MIGHT* give a 2500 HEMI a fighting chance, and if you got spanked by a HEMI.... for shame!! LOL
I do the same change interval as Rick does, 15,000. I buy from the same place too. After a few changes you'll get a feel on time time line when to change. Very important to keep those injectors as clean as possible.. What Brendan said^^^^
Hi, all. First post here. I recently picked up a 2001 F250, extended cab, 4x4 with 68,000 miles on the clock. I managed to scoop it up for a steal. Most of the PSD trucks I was able to find at the price I paid had over 300,000 miles on them. It's a heck of an upgrade from the 2001 S10 I was driving!
But enough about me...
I don't know if the fuel filter has been changed on this truck. Does anyone have a nice write-up, preferably with pics, on how to complete this?
hey before you changed out your fuel filter did you notice your truck was not accelerting when you hit the gas or lagging when you hit the gas? im having problems im thinking its water in my tank.. everytime i try to speed up it takes a while to kick in like its not getting enough gas
