drive shaft sux!!

yea..i have the 89 EB edition w/ the CV joint DS..it is shot so i lubed it 'til i can find a new replacement..any ideas where i can get a good U joint one cheap..so far i got est. for 268$ plus shipping???

BTW.. this is my daily drive.. so i dont need a super duty one..thanx guys!

There should be a post up on here somewhere that tells all the parts you can pull from a junk yard to easily build your own or you could have one made but you are looking at big $$$. I found this thread on another site it might help BroncoII4x4.com Forum • View topic - Who knows about BII rear driveshafts.

i did ..finally had to pull it and i am in 4x4 so i can drive...still cant find a good price or locate one at those websites..sorry guys ..a little more help is needed here....thanx

Find a driveshaft from a ranger or explorer and have a driveshaft shop or machine shop shorten it to the length you need. Thats what I did for both of my Bronco II's.

If its your daily driver and it does not get abused I would just buy another Cv shaft. Got mine from NAPA for like $120. Had around 175,000 miles on the CV style. Really can't say that sux.

driveshaft

I'm scraping out an 88 bronco ll auto so I have a cv driveshaft just under 100,000 measures 33 inches flange to flange $40. plus shipping . Thanks Steve

sounds like a good deal Steve, do you know what length it is compressed? i think mine measures 30" compressed, also,, i'm up here in WA. where are you located? thanx..Bob

try lmc light trucks, or do what i did, go to napa, autocone, schucks, and get a regular u jointed driveline. i remember paying under 200 with core.
